You can run two Nvidia cards. But they have to be identical. Unlike with Crossfire, where I believe, you can use two different cards.

Examples of CrossFire ready boards are some 975X, P965, P35 boards, and also some AM2 boards based on the Crossfire Xpress 3200 chipset.
