Question CPU Fans

My task is to build myself a new pc by April but i'm doing it in slow stages.
Today it's cpu fans.

My plan is to buy an Intel Dual Core E6400 or E6500 so i would like a cpu fan that is obviously compatible with said processor but be a good performer and also be relatively quiet.

I've always been a fan of Zalman fans but i'm open to any recommendations.

One other point i've heard there's soon to be quad core processors from intel, if they come out when i buy my cpu and aren't too expensive then that may come into my consideration but are they going to be the same socket type and if so would the recomended fan work with that cpu?

Appreciate any thoughts.

The Zalman CNPS9500 or 9700 work great with the core 2 duos. Also quad-core has been out for quite some time now. And they are really expensive.....in the thousand region.

Thanks for the heads up on the quad core, certainly can't see them being affordable in the next few months

So dual core it is

I'll check out the fan, thanks
