Re: connecting the whole house
Hamachi isn't suitable for what you want to do. It's for connecting your computer to another network over the internet (e.g. as if your home computer was suddenly in your work office)
What you'll need to do is either...
1. Buy some Cat6 ethernet cable and lay down some wires. Then buy a switch and connect all the wires to this switch, also connect your router to the switch.
2. Buy a wireless switch and wireless cards/adapters/dongles for your desktop/laptop/media center. Connect the router to the wireless switch.
3. (recommended option) Buy a wireless switch, but connect the desktop and media center to it via cat6 ethernet cables. Then connect your router to the switch via an ethernet cable as well.
