connecting many peripherals to a computer

What would i need to plug in lets say my stereo, dvd player, xbox, all that into my computer and then be able to use it on my computer. I know i could just plug them into the tv, this is for a unique situation.

yes. Ideally i could watch a dvd, play xbox, ect on my computer and have it played out over the speakers.

Why do you need a DVD player when you have your Xbox? You could just get a splitter and hook them up to the line in on your audio card.
