well i know sli scales way better than cross fire but the ait gpu's are cheaper and are easier to fit in to his budget. but either the gigabyte or biostar will perform well just the biostar has the edge on it when overclocking.

It will be a while before I upgrade, so I will probably go for the lower at this time. I need the mobo to compliment what I have at this time, and not what I may plan for in the future. I realize that this is not always the best decision but it is when on a budget.

Get these faster and cheaper after rebate
Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

If you can scrounge an extra $40 then get a sunbeam core contact freezer and you will have a pc that rivals some of the best top of the range ones

You will be much happier than you would have with any of those POS ebay computers. Plus it is way more fun.

Im sure I will be. My roommate is going to kill me (we have no relationship, but according to everyone else we act like we are married.) Either way I will just have to convince her I have plenty of money to throw at this and that it was a good choice.

Perhaps I will hide the parts from her until it is built, lol.

Sure sound like your married. I have a secret computer stash from my wife. Right now it is just a corsair 750 but there is more to come.
