I finished my build about a week ago

I have;
Amd athlon 64 3800+ (Already Purchased, bulding pc around this)
MSI K8N Neo4-F Socket 939
320gb seagate 7200.10
FORSA 6600LE 256Mb PCI-E
Corsair Value Select 2x512MB PC3200
Nec DVDRW LightScribe Black DVD-RW
Antec NEO HE430GB 430W Modular PSU
ThermalTake Shark Black tower (VA7000BWA)

When i boot up the pc, all the fans turn on correctly but i just hear a set of beeps- 1 long 2 short, i checked on the msi website and apparantly it means graphic memory error. After about 3 reboots the pc booted and i got a visual display, i installed xp then the nvidea card drivers. Once restarted the resolution was set to 800x600 with 16 colours, it was appalling. I was unable to change the resolution and save it as a higher setting. The setings kept reverting back. I tried restarting but again i got the bios beeps and no visual dispaly. I sent the graphics card back to aria but it was tested unfaulty. Now im confused, im guessing its the motherboard, but they also said it might be the fact that there isnt enough power getting to it, but i have 430w? is this not enough? Could anyone help me before i send in my motherboard?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
