Optical drive = CD/DVD drive. LiteOn is a good and cheap brand. Any well-known name is a safe bet, like Samsung, Sony, whatever.

I am not as familiar with the Intel lineup, being an AMD guy. While Intel holds the speed crown, AMD gives the best bang for your buck (or pound ;) ).

Here is a complete lineup for you:

Antec Three Hundred Cool and Quiet Gaming Case - Aria Technology

AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition 2.8GHz, Socket AM3, Retail - Aria Technology

Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H AMD 790X Socket AM2/AM2+ Motherboard - Aria Technology

Corsair 550W VX Series PSU - Aria Technology

Liteon 52x32x52x16 DVD/CDRW Combo Drive - Aria Technology

Corsair 4GB PC2-6400 C5 XMS2 (2x2GB) - Aria Technology

XFX Radeon HD4870 1GB PCI-E 2.0 - Aria Technology

320Gb Western Digital WD3200AAKS SATA - Aria Technology

That comes to roughly £569 inc. VAT. If you can recycle any parts from your old computer, such as case, opticals, or hard drive, you can shave that off the list.

^^Basically the same price as the one you found but much better.

Most notably in the gpu and psu department.

just compare prices for the two video cards and you will see.
