Do a search using your budget for a new build, and you should be able to find quite a bit.

For example type the following into search:

1000 gaming build

And you get the following:

Once done searching, post back here with what you think is a good build, and you'll likely get more help

Intel E6750...........PSN: ELBATROP
XFX nForce 650i Ultra
Patriot PC2-6400 8GB (4x2GB)
eVGA 9800GT
36GB WD Raptor
120GB SG
Logitech X-530
Samsung SyncMaster 931c
Samsung SyncMaster 750s
Windows 7 Home Premium 64

It depends on how much you want to spend. If you are getting a monitor/KB/Comp for $1000

I would get the 3000+, 7600GT, 1GB mem.
