I am going to build my first pc. I go to heald college for IT and i have a tech job, i just never got around to building my own, so i have one question, are all my components compatible? You don't need a $20 DVD burner. The $10 ones work just as well. I ordered several of them over the years.

I'd rather Get the corsair RAM, same price, on sale: - CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX4GX3M2A1600C9
Or G.Skill RipJaw: - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (I have 4 of these babies in my rig )

Nice case look... That's a first for me. I'm a bit iffy on Raidmax PSU's. I'm not sure if a 500 is keen for your build. Wait for somone else on that bit. I have this:

You want to get an aftermarket heatsink. On a budget such as yours, people reccommend getting this one: - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler
Need paste as well. I use MX-2, but others will have their own views.

Otherwise, great build!
