hope to get DSL very soon. will probably not game till then. have never gamed before so..... since i dont know what i'm missing i'll be ok for a little while.

so i do need to spend the extra 70 or so and get the 2gig.

right now i have 192mb and only 17.4% LOL but this is also after reformatting this antique junk. i have 3 times. right now all i do is come to these places and shop for a replacement.

i'm questioning my idea for the Video Card. i dont think i will need that much? any ideas ? would something else in maybe 126mb be better suited ? just trying to trim down some on budget but still have a machine that will perform well for a few years.

I recommend against an Aspire PSU. it may look good, but generally, the quality isn't too great.

I recommend this PSU
it is probabbly the best quality PSU you're going to get for $50

I would stick with the Hard drive, monitor and video card you have listed. they are all good.
the monitor has an 8ms response time, which is good.
Western Digital make good quality hard drives (although IMO they are second to Seagate)
and the video card you have listed is quite good for its price

of course i want something not to expensive but i'm of the thinking i want quality over cheapness. thanks for your suggestion.

Fortron are a good PSU maker. and they are not expensive at the same time
