I'm building my first PC, and before I buy all this, I wanted to make sure this was all compatible and there weren't going to be any suprises (well, any avoidable surprises, I am putting windows on it after all). I was going for cheap, and with lots of upgradeability.

MOBO:

Case:

Processor:

Ram (2 of these):

Video Card:

Power supply comes with case, and I already have monitor, keyboard and mouse. Gives me a computer for just about $368.95, and I can add an additional graphics card to make it SLI, more RAM, and can upgrade the processor to Dual Core when I have the cash.

Pentium D is just a newer version of the Pentium 4 and produces less heat, gives more power, costs slightly more.

The 7600GS would be the best bet for the video card.

A high-end Celeron D would be a good choice for you.

... and the Pentium D has two cores, which can speed up some applications considerably, though it's mainly a sales pitch (hence the price difference).
