Clear Acrylic Cases?

I was thinking of getting a clear acrylic case, mainly for easy modding, but I guess somewhat for vanity also. Im worried about possible static fom the acrylic and the chance of shorting out my computer which Ive put alot of time and hard money into (as we all have). Im in my computer alot and I live in the south where the temp changes can be a 45 degree difference in a day. Does anyone have one of these cases or know some one who does. Or can anyone justify or dismiss my fear of this.
If its even a chance, Im just going to get an Xclio and be done with it. But I dont see how an acrylic case could not cause static.

I use to have an Acrylic case, I never had a problem. Get some Casters to keep it off the floor. These look pretty sharp. Casters - Cool Casters :: Soft Wheel Caster, Black with Silver End Cap, Swivel Plate, With Brake - Item #1200-60-BL-SI-PL-WB-WCN

But they have all kinds
Casters - Cool Casters :: Chair Casters - Furniture Casters - Colored Wheels

And don't forget to get yourself a Dremel and a few Etching bits
