Default Choosing a motherboard.

Hi,
I am looking at buying a new graphics card (7800gt) but i need to upgrade my motherboard because it doesnt have a pci-e slot.

But i need it to support my ram and my processor.

I have ddr 400 ram and intel p4 processor.

Can you help me?

Which socket do you have?

The Asus P5GD1 for LGA 775.

do i gotta look inside the pc or can i go into something on my computer

Remove your processor and count all the little pins lol jk

Just download CPU-Z and run it. It should tell you what kind of socket you have. Or if you have the procs original packaging/manual it will say on there.
