Default Checking Sound card

How do I check my currect sound card? I'm thinking about getting some new speakers (Logitech X-530, if possible), and I want to see what my sound card can pump out. Is there a program that will let me check it?

P.S. The reason for the upgrade is that recently, the speakers I have only play in one of the speakers and the subwoofer.

P.P.S. I accidentally posted this in OCing, so if you could, please delete that. I seem to be unable to delete my own posts.

Go to start, run, and type in DXDIAG. click yes or no at the prompt, go to the sound tab and on the left habd box it will tell you what your sound system is.
