I'm attempting to build a computer for a friend Who would use it mostly for very basic uses like minor surfing (they only have 56k live out in the country), e-mail,
word processing and the occasional video, no gaming pretty much.

I live in Canada so I'm trying to put it together from TigerDirect.ca

Mostly what I'm looking for here is reliability so if any has any recommendations I'd very much appreciate it.

Here's what I've been looking at.

PSU:

RAM:

HDD:

HSF:

DVD-Drive:

Case:
Ultra UV Wizard Blue ATX Mid-Tower Case with UV Reactive Clear Side, Front USB and Firewire Ports ULT31586 in Canada at TigerDirect.ca
MOBO:
ECS 945GZT-M (v1.0) Intel Socket 775 MicroATX Motherboard Audio Video PCI Express 10100 Ethernet LAN USB 2.0 Serial ATA 945GZT-M V1.0 in Canada at TigerDirect.ca
CPU:
Intel Pentium D 805 2.66GHz 2MB Cache 533MHz FSB Dual-Core Smithfield OEM Socket 775 Processor HH80551PE0672MN in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

This is what I've got so far subtotaling at $326.82 CAD

I'm hoping I can get the cost a bit lower, any suggestions?

Maybe lower the RAM to 512?

I THINK this is all compatible but I'm really new at this.

It's also more expensive. Would the extra money be worth it for a computer with low demands being placed on it?

If I purchase the 3600+ the fan is included which would offset the price difference. Is the stock fan going to be sufficient or would I still need to replace it?
