Cheap, but will it run!

I'm building a budget computer for a friend, decided to go with newegg (lovem) and have chosen these parts. These arn't final (if anyone has anything else to suggest within the same price range, be my guest) but I'd like to know if this would run stable or would I need anything else (such as more cooling, better PSU, ect ect)

I told her I could make her a reliable one for 300, i'm thinking about building this one minus the dvdrom/hard drive, throwing my hard drive in there with my 512 ram and giving her my 256 that way i make a $20 profit and get a better computer. (sorry to be an ass hole but i'm poor!)

I like your drive, ram, processor, but not so sure about a Foxconn motherboard. They're not too great. They're not crap, don't get me wrong, but perhaps this would still be affordable?

If this is a girl you are sweet on or have a chance with, don't do the RAM thing. Make sure she knows you made a little sacrifice.

Oh I can asure you I'm not attracted to her...but are you sure that one would be better? it has less powerful and less slots for RAM and its more expensive. I've heard bad things about Foxconn as well, so mabye I will give this more thought. The mobo you mentioned is pretty much the mobo on the computer I have now and the only buggers about it is the fact that there are no USB 2.0 and the ram speed, as well as the onboard sound (which is pretty much the same on the mobo i was planning on using, the mic support is terrible!)

How is this one, pretty much as the same one you posted but mabye better?

Foxconn has really been turning their stuff around. Their latest stuff is said to be pretty good.

Looks pretty good in my opinion other than the HDD size. If you would like to double it for a little more you can try TigerDirect's Maxtor 160GB HDD for $49.99 as long as you are okay with going thru with the $40 mail-in rebate...

Finally, would I be able to install a Radeon 9550 powercolor graphis card into the 4x/2x AGP slot, the card supports full 8x, but would it debunk its self like RAM does?
