I got a switch on my new pc case and it plugs on the mobo wich i did but i don't know what it is or does.

I think it keeps a log every time you open your pc case but im probably wrong, i just heard it from my bro

that lets you know exactly that. when your case was opened. that's good for those that have siblings that are computer savvy and like to mess with stuff, or for a network (work) environment

but lets say somebody opens the case and pulls the wires off the mobo. that wouldn't record them opening the case then would it?

Anyway how would you find that file or whatever that tells you if somebody opened your pc case?

truthfully... not sure every case I have ever worked with has had that disabled... I have done so myself... no need for it in my mind.
