I dont know about your specific computer, but I do know that most of the Dell desktops I've worked on are very shapely and designed for the case they're in.
There are often green vents going across fans and heatsynks, fancy little clips. I've even seen one or two with this retarded bar going straight across the center making maintenance a real pain in the butt.
If I were you, I just simply wouldn't touch the case and just put in an extra fan or something, and if you absolutely need to change it, consult someone in person who can actually see it all. You never know what little dealies Dell might have thrown in there to prevent upgradability.
