Default Celeron D or Pentium 4

I have an old Pentium 4 processor that is 2Ghz and I was wondering if I should upgrade it to a Celeron D at 2.93Ghz or would I be better of sticking to my old pentium 4. I don't really have the budget to get a faster pentium 4 but I can get this Celeron D. Ive read that the Celeron D is not as good as Pentium 4.Should I stick with my old processor or get the faster Celeron D?
