Question Case for HP Pavilion a645c

Got the HP Pavilion a645c from my bro, but the case is kind of screwed up. So, I am looking to replace the case. Everything seems to run fine, hardware wise, except I may want to add more RAM (comes with 512MB, maybe I will drop any 1 GB)

(1) Come someone recommend a cool looking compatible computer case? Around $50~$60. Motherboard is A7V8Z-LA (Kelut). I have never done this before, so I googled the "A7V8Z-LA". But, the search results weren't fruitful.

(2) Will one of the Patriot Ram from Fry's work? (so long as it's DDR1-333 SDRAM-184 pin)

(3) Motherboards says its supports SATA. The a645c came with UDMA. Can they work intermixingly? i.e. 1 UDMA (existing), 1 SATA (future purchase)

Many Thanks,

Anita

(1) If all you're going to do is move everything from one case to the other, any ATX case will work. Don't get a microATX case, though... you motherboard is an ATX form factor.

Here's a few to thumb through:

(2) Any DDR RAM will work. You can use DDR400 with no problem. I popped a gig of DDR400 in my old eMachine and it works fine. Plus, DDR400 is probably cheaper.

(3) Yes, but you will probably have to install the SATA drivers.

Thanks for the advice.

(1) For the case, do you have a preference as which one to go with? Goods/bads. Shaky's Extreme seems like the ASPIRE X-Dreamer in the past. Well, I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as it works.

(2) Thanks for the advise, I just browsed through Fry's ad, looks like they have DDR400 Patriot Ram for around $80...not bad!

(3) According to the printed Motherboard, it has SATA1 and SATA2 connections (build-in?) Should I put SATA as the primary drive and UDMA as the slave?

Thanks. :-)

SATA is faster than ATA, but you'll have to copy the hard drive over first.

Ghost works perfect, but it ain't free. There are free programs that can do it, but I'm drawing a blank... 10 hour shift in the heat, and no sleep yet.

Wow, that is pretty sexy! It looks like a freaking wind tunnel from the front. Does that big noise make lot of noise?

Money matters as well as style, what are you interested in?
Cheap, color or lack, flashy lights? Even Size...
