Default can you hook an xbox up to a computer monitor

I was wondering if I could hook my xbox up to a computer monitor cause I want to get an LCD or something like that and I just want to know if I would be able to use it like a TV and also a computer monitor is this possible if it is what is a good one that is pretty cheap? thanks for anything

if you get an LCD tv they pretty much all have vga connections so could be used as a tv, for your xbox and for a monitor but the only problem is that most have low resolutions. unless you are a serious xbox modder you can not use a standard monitor directly with an xbox (although it is possible if you like soldering........a lot) you could use a video card with vivo or a tv tuner to show your xbox screen on the monitor through the computer though

the numerals 360 did not appear anywhere in his post so i would assume he meant the original xbox
