Default Can someone customize for me?

alright..i think ive become a nag on this board..but we all know a pc is a big investment so i want a few options and im getting alot of mixed reviews about the ones i show and people say to customize but i really dont know that much to do so..so with whatever customizing site you want to use can some people customize a pc for me either putting down the list of things so i can add it or if they do it on the site and show me.

my budget is $500 i would like to keep it between 400-450 if possible

things i require
atleast 512 ram
atleast 80 gig harddrive would like more if its affordable
a proccessor that will move pretty fast..i have an amd antholon 1.10 ghz right now on this pc
dvd burner

i will be using this pc to download stuff.large files, burn stuff,mp3s,videos.and surfing the web

thanks for all your help

for that price, the only recommendation is Dell. And $379 isnt that bad, the HD alone is worth that much on it...

Yes, but do you realize that the system jeremy built will CREAM that Dell? Granted, it doesn't have a monitor or anything fancy, but you can pick those up cheap with no problem.

the only thing that would "cream" the dell is the processor, because the parts are the exact same...

I built my first one last week, not very hard, take your time and get a little help for cpu fan/heatsink. After that just connect all power connectors and other cables. You will have to reformat and install windows again.

if it's Windows 2000 or XP you can just do a repair-install, and you will keep your user names and settings

although a reinstall will make things cleaner, and run faster
