Default Can this rig handle an upgrade to a Radeon 6970?

Hi all. I want to upgrade my gateway fx-6831-01. I was wondering if i can replace the 5850 gpu with a 6970 gpu without any hassles. My main point of concern is the pci express power connector requirements. Please help me out and let me know if this is a good idea from a technical standpoint. I really don't want to hear any arguments for or against the 6970 because i already have my mind made up on buying it. Just need to know cut and dry if this rig is compatible with the card.

here is a link to my computers specs:

Thanks for any and all help.

that is a very good card, you are going to get high overclocks, low heat and low noise out of it! congrats on the upgrade!
