Default Can a MSI R6570-MD1G/LP Radeon HD 6570 1GB be used to play games?

Just wondering what this card is capable of doing.

Can a MSI R6570-MD1G/LP Radeon HD 6570 1GB be used to play any of the modern games, or is this card mainly designed for a HTPC?

Thanks,

Soar

i really wouldnt consider it a gaming card. it has some capabilities, but not really. here is a site that shows what it can do with bf bc2.

AnandTech - AMD

as you can see, at 1680x1050 it struggles at the bottom, but appears to be playable.

further testing on it shows it to be low on power consumption, temperature and noise; so yes, this seems to be a card good for a htpc system, and not much else for the price that you would have paid for it new.

modern games, im going to guess not so much unless you dont mind everything on low settings and not at 1920 resolution.

Definitely not a gamer card.

Ok guys. Thank you.

Well, how about the XFX 9600 GSO? Can that play modern games?

Thanks,

Both cards mentioned can play, but not on anything higher than low.
