The difference I see are

micron 0.13 vs 0.18
revision C1 vs D0
cache size 512 vs 256

Would it work? I could get for $25.00

In theory, it might work... but I honestly don't even think it would be worth the $25.

You would notice very little performance increase.

It would work, and it should make a difference. My media rig runs on an AMD 2000+ and plays recorded shows and DVDs fine.

Doing a good system cleanup would probably do it as much, if not more, good.
