Can I scan my friendz puter with mine?

We are thinking that my friend has a virus or something so my question is can we hook his computer to mine and use my virus scan and Spybot and scan his computer? If we can what do we need to hook them together? thanks

If you place his hard drive in your computer, you should be able to scan it. I'm not sure about connecting them together. Have you tried scanning with a free trial (such as NOD32) in safe mode on his computer? You can also purchase antivirus software that will boot the computer and scan it without using anything stored on the drive.

I'd have to second that opinion. Remove his drive, plug it into yours and scan it with your software. The best way to scan a bootable HDD virus/adware/scandsk is in another computer.

Yes you can, go google: TeamViewer Portable.
It will allow you to take control of his pc and do what ever you need to do. Very useful.
