Can I play HL2 with this vd card?

I am on a thight budget as you can see

I know you don't have newegg and I know the currency isn't the same, but if you can afford it, I think getting a 9800SE like this one will do you a little better. I was in the same predicament with my girlfriend's computer, and I'm glad I sprung for the 9800SE. And if you need to in the future, you can upgrade the cooling and unlock it to a 9800Pro

Well I played HL2 on a ATI 9600XT and I could put all the graphics on high.

but i ship my newegg orders to my dads house in florida and ask him to reship them to montreal

I used that video card for a good 2 years, ran HL2 fine, but you cant max everything with it.

that card will do wonderfully on HL2. It's about comparable to the 9800SE, but won't unlock to anything higher like the 9800SE would. The 9600 series would be a good buy.
