Hi. I am about to upgrade my machine and I need some advice. I currently have:

Intel Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz
512 MB RAM
120 GB WD HDD
DVD/RW ROM 16x
256 MB ATi graphics card
windows xp sp2

I have planned the following PC for me:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor E7300 (3MB L2, 2.66GHz, 1066FSB)
Intel desktop board DG31PR
4 GB DDR2 RAM (2+2)
500 GB SATA Seagate HDD
DVD/RW ROM 16x
256 MB ATI Graphics card
Windows vista home premium 64 bits.

Ok now let me tell you about me usual usage:

Internet, movies, music, microsoft office, games (the most graphic intense ones i play rarely go beyond the sims or NFS, and mostly include the little ones you can get on yahoo)
One thing more I edit home videos (mostly using windows movie maker) and make photo slide shows and stuff like that. I also use magicjack on my pc and that about all.

So is my new pc configuration good enough to meet my needs? ( I need to be in budget as well)

should i go for 32 bit vista or 64 bit one, which will suite me more and run better on the above specs?

will i see a visible difference in my PC experience once i jump from the old to the newer one. Will I feel and exceptional speed as compared to the older one?

I would really appreciate a quick reply. Have llittle time before i order.

What is your budget, where are you ordering this from, and how much are they trying to charge you for those parts you specified?

64bit is a must given you have more than 3.5GB of total system memory. The new configuration is very good and will show a great improvement over your old one.
