I think its almost a toss up. The Scepter has better numbers, but they are not comparing contrast on and equal basis. Scepter is useing one method and KDS another, I think. So, I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on the matter.

Sceptre looks good on paper but I've only seen sceptre tv's so I can't comment on their quality. KDS isn't bad either. You want higher contrast or brightness? I know you can find KDS at any store so I'd suggest going to take of a look.

Yeah, I'll also be in the market for a 24" widescreen LCD soon.

This is the one that I had in mind:
Acer P243WAID 24IN LCD Monitor 1920X1200 3000:1 2MS VGA DVI-D HDMI Glossy Screen High Gloss Black

I don't really know much about LCDs. All I really know is that you want as low a response time as possible.

acer's are good. The one your looking as far as specs go is the best one.

I like the acer, but I was planning on limiting myself to under 300... That really doesn't leave me a lot of room to work.
The best two I found under 300 were those two.
