Default buying monitor

Hi, i recenly just purchaed a new desktop pc, its a fairly powerfull machine with intel pentium d 940 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 2 x 250 GB hard drives, 550W PSU, and Nvidea 7600 GT Video card.

Im thinking of getting this monitor

If the link doesnt work for where you live or something, it is the LG 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor (L196WTQ-BF) for $229

I don't want any bigger than 20", does this seem like a good deal?
It says it has Analog and DVI, but beside DVI it says (HDCP) What does that mean? Thanks

Default Re: buying monitor

I say, if you have the money, go for it. It's the size you want, good contrast ratio, great refresh rate.

Not bad.

To answer your last question:
HDCP encrypts the transmission of digital content between the video source, or transmitter -- such as a computer, DVD player or set-top box -- and the digital display, or receiver -- such as a monitor, television or projector. HDCP is not designed to prevent copying or recording of digital content but to protect the integrity of content as it is being transmitted.
