Buying a Laptop..

I have two choices, both are secondhand. I know nothing about computers so I need help.. I plan on using it just for around the house mainly; search the net, msn and maybe for pc games like Guild Wars. Would either of these be able to play Guild Wars? what laptop is the best in your opinion?

In this situation, i'd go for the HP Intel version. Athlon XP is outdated.

XP Pro has some unlocked features. I mean no offense by this, but if you needed help with deciding on those two laptops, you wouldn't make use of the XP Pro extra features.

I dunno how much NZ dollars are so I can't help you there.

For $495, you won't get a better laptop. Get the Intel HP though.

Also, XP Professional is a little faster, but not worth spending extra money on it. Service Packs make is slower too. If you have an old copy of XP laying around that is SP1 or below, you might want to install it to get some speed on the laptop.
