Default Buying a computer (I have no idea)

Hi, I'm looking to get a computer for fairly cheap mainly to be used for e-mail, internet, pictures, and other basic uses. I got these ads from my local used listings site but I really don't know what I'm looking at. Would it be a better idea to buy a new computer?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My advice is to get none of them they are all hopelessly out of date and weak and build/buy a new one.

Alright thanks. Would it be worth trying to build one for under $400 that would be reasonable for internet, e-mail, photos and other basic uses?
