Default buying a comp in 3 weeks, need advice!

I have a radeon 4870 HD 512mb video card kicking, from my old comp...

I have 3 websites to order from.. since i'm in canada.

NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection.

TigerDirect.ca- Computers, Computer Parts, Computer Accessories, PC Components & Electronics

Buy Computer Parts, Computer Hardware, PC Parts at Best Online Computer Shop - DirectCanada

Money is tight... and i already have an OS.

Please make the best gaming computer possible for an additional 600 bucks! maybe 700 at most. THANKS

I need crossfire-ready computer as well! And preferably ddr3 ram!

these total $689 CAD

ASUS M4A79XTD Evo ATX AM3 790X DDR3 2XPCI-E16 2XPCI-E 2XPCI CrossFireX SATA Audio GBLAN Motherboard - DirectCanada

Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc 3.5IN Sata Hard Drive Oem 5YR Mfg Warranty - DirectCanada
Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower Gaming Case 300 Atx 3X5.25 6X3.5INT No Ps Front Usb & Audio - DirectCanada
Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan - DirectCanada

and one or two of these fans for the front of the case (wasent included in total)
Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Jyuni 120MM Fan 1900RPM 110.3CFM 37DBA - DirectCanada

now, these are assuming that you dont need a monitor, keyboard + mouse included in your budget. also, when you say crossfire ready, do you mean using your current 4870 with a rig that supports another one later on? or do you mean you want a second 4870 in this budget too?

if the price is too steep, you could switch the hdd for this one.
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA2 3.5IN 8.5MS 7200RPM 16MB Hard Drive Oem *3YR Mfr Warranty* - DirectCanada

and/or change the cpu.

Amd Phenom Ii X3 720 Black Edition Triple Core Processor AM3 2.8GHZ 7.5MB Cache 95W 45NM Retail Box - DirectCanada
AMD Phenom II X4 810 Quad Core Processor Socket AM3 2.6GHZ 6MB Cache 95W 45NM Retail Box - DirectCanada

I already have a 22'' .2 ms 1600x1200 resolution monitor, not the best, but totally adequate. i am fine playing at 16x12 (its one of those samsung 226 bw's or something)..

i also have a keyboard and mouse i can use until i am better setup tog et a good gaming keyboard and mouse.

as for the video card, i want to be able to crossfire in the future, but not right now.

so your original assumptions were all correct. thanks for the help. will that mobo and processor be adequate in a years time?

great

in a years time they sure will, especially if you plan on adding a second 4870, you should have plenty of gpu power. you can also OC your cpu to boost performance, but an aftermarket cooler is recommended for that.

Dose the Antec 300 case come with the top and top-rear fan in place? so i just need 2x 120mm fans for the front?

is that correct?

yea, one exhaust fan in the rear and on exhaust fan on top, and it does have room for two 120mm fans in front.

Yes, that's correct.

"2 front (optional) 120 mm fans to cool the hard drives
1 side (Optional) 120 x 25 mm Fan to cool graphic cards"
