The X-Fi was having problems with Vista, but they may have fixed it by now.

Overkill PSU, why spend 1000$ for just dual-core processors.. if ur gonna spend that much.. get a qx6850 or something.. or spend $266 on a q6600... You need a 64bit Operating System to recognize 4gb of RAM.. never heard of that Brand name..

Get HD3870 Grafix card or 8800GT.

PC Power & Cooling 610W PSU.

965P is an old chipset. Get a P35 board such as MSI P35 Plat, or 790FX with a phenom.

Get a phenom or Q6600.

Crucial Ballistix is excellent RAM.

Also consider XP its miles better than Vista.

People...please. Dude said he is a n00b, so stop trying to ream him with ridiculous parts.

As Poemaster asked, what is your budget? Additionally, what exactly do you want to do with the computer? these questions will help us point you in a more REALISTIC direction.
