Thanks very much, I got 0x0000007B. Looks like these may be two separate issues... I will play around with it and see what I can find out.

I have no idea what's going on, but for some reason, the Vista installer is now letting me reformat the drive.

I think I should be all set from here... thanks very much for the help!
