Building i7 gaming machine...

Part of the thing that concerns me is that i've never set up a raid before, and I have no clue how difficult it is. So i'm not sure at this point, I would like the speed that samsung seems to offer, but more of the realiblity of WD.

Well if it was me I would get a ssd drive for OS and programs for speed, then get a couple of wd green 1tb drives for data. I would not raid them unless it was mission critical data and then have a quality backup plan.

I like raid when it is in a system that cannot go down ie business server.
