looks real good might cop that

see like right now im using a downloading program in which i download things and it slows my computer and connection down so i figure mine as well get a quad core and keep the computer runnin fast

How much hard drive space do you think you would want? I notice you said you do downloading...enough to warrant massive amounts of space?

if your downloading off the web, a new cpu is not going to speed things up i dont think. thats allmost all about the connection speed.

yea i kno but whenever i am doin my convertin and things it slows it up to so thats wwhy im sayin screw it and get a ppowerhouse

What taste said. This will speed up your computer, not your connection speed. But you will definitely notice a difference.

And I finally grabbed some parts together.

All that comes to $957.45 after shipping. Also, there's $85 bucks in mail-in rebates, so more savings there.

There's some wiggle room on some of the parts. Here's a case alternative:

I recommend the 4gb of RAM because memory is so cheap nowadays, but we can go down to 2gb if you wanted. Also, you can grab a smaller HDD if you want, but the 1.5tb is a really nice HDD in general, and it has loads of room for not a bad price.

484 kbs on uploadin

your 15k download is pretty decent imo, better than my 10k,

but that less than 500 uploading is horrid, i dont know what the problem is.

usually your upload is about half your download from my experience. your upload should be near 5-8k.

perhaps you can look into that upload speed and pinpoint a problem.

i just ran it to give you an example
