Well, I currently have a job, and my budget will probably be ending up to be around $1100-$1300.

Could I get a nice PC out of this money, and can someone make me one?

I want it to be able to have potential for future upgrades.

Monitor, headset, speakers, mouse are NOT needed.
Mousepad needed.

I also want Vista on it.

I use the computer for Internet related things, multi-tasking between various programs, and playing Counter Strike 1.6/Source.

My current computer is an eMachines T3265 with an AMD Athlon XP 3200+, 1 gb ram, X800 GTO2.

Thanks in advance for makin me a machine.

PS I live in the U.S, so Tigerdirect/Newegg are fine.

well by then the e6420 will be the best cpu unless amd bring out something so id say:

mobo: Abit Aw9d-max
cpu: e6420
ram: g-skill (2x1gb) better ram will probably be available closer to the time
hdd: seagate barracuda 7200.10
videocard: 8900gs
psu: antec trio 550w

all these components could be easily replaced within two months though by better.

Well what about the case and such?

I need a full rig here :S

Any other volunteers? :)

lol pick your own case its a matter of what you want your pc too look like but a 80mm intake and 120mm fan outake should be sufficient if your not overclocking. look up some cases and we will say wether they are useless or not.

since you are planning to upgrade in late May you can get a pretty decent system like C2D E6600 with 2gb ram etc. prices may drop by that time :)

My friend is offering me:

Antec P180 Case
700 Watt OCZ Gamer's PSU
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2 GB Corsair XMS2
Nvidia Geforce 7900 GT
250 GB 7200 RPM Maxtor
18x DVD/CD Burner
Windows Vista Home Premium

for $1200.

Shipping = $30

Is that a good deal?
