Ive recently found a few computers for around the £550 price but ive been told i can get alot better if i build one. Wondering if anyone knows a uk shop that will build the system for you with the parts you bought ?

If you do can you also help me choose what parts to choose ?

Hold off and get the 8800GT it will be cheaper and faster. Also spend the extra money and get ddr2 800 memory. Also check out the AMD black edition, its supposed to be one of the best price/performance cpus right now as far as AMD cpus go

Is your PSU "included-with-the-case"? Better change it to a branded one.

As for the shops:

Pc Option - Technology For Everyone - Index - usually comes as recommended

PCSPECIALIST.CO.UK - Custom PCs, Custom Computers, Custom PC, Custom Built Computers, Gaming PC
DinoPC.com - Cheap custom built computers, from gaming to basic home/office systems - Dino PC Ltd

Usually you'll get a lot of complaints about any of these sites (impossible to find a good one, only pcoption somewhat survives). Mostly about returns and customer service. So hey, why not build yourself and save a couple of quid? I'll do that quite soon.

overclockers uk type it in google i buy my gear from there:) n buy a oem os disc cheaper than retail:d

well if i was you, you could save a few pounds like on ur dvd rewriter, why dont you buy an oem version cos u will get the ide or sata cables included with your mobo, unless your bothered bout the bundled software which is not include on all retail. Oyea IDE is also known as PATA, just incase you wonder what it means:)
