Is that all I need to build my own computer? Why is it so much more expensive than from buyxg? Also, does the brand name matter, and if so, what brand names should I look out for/change?

u cheaped out on the cooler...

get the Arctic Freezer Pro 7 is better and is $10 less...

I don't think I'd get the crappy sound card... spend more money on a good one, or just use the onboard sound.

Your 1TB drive is really expensive since they are new. I'd recommend a 500GB, or 750GB. You could RAID0 two 500GB drives, have the same storage, get increased performance, and save money.

Splurge for the Tuniq Tower... much better cooler.

i find it odd that the computer from buyxg featured 8800GTS SLI but only a 350 PSU....but anyway..dump the huge hard drive and the KO ultra...buy the cheapest Ultra and a 500GB HD

Yes, I did. Thanks for that. It's actually a bit cheaper too with the mail-in rebate. Every little bit counts right.

EDIT: By the way, I can afford to go a couple hundred dollars over $2000.
