Build a System....what to get?

I am figuring it might be easy to build my parents a comptuer, the one we have no is too old to upgrade (it has Ram that isn't made anymore, doesn't realize it has a DVD drive anymore and it's getting more and more vulnerable to viurses)

I need suggestions on a Motherboad, Ram and so on.

I want them to have an Athalon 64 so they don't have to worry about upgrades for a while.

I'm getting my self a Media Center PC, no issue there but what my parents need is powerful but streamlined and something to run a network off.

Well, id say get an intel for streamlined stiff, AMD is more engineered toward gaming.

For mobo, Asus, DFI, Epox, Abit, and ASrock brands will do

Ram, you should get Corsair, OCZ, or Patriot

Videocard, go for nVidia 6600GT or ATi x800GT

Media drives, Pioneer, Plextor and Sony

Hard drive, Western Digital, Hitachi, Maxtor

Also, get a TV tuner for media center
