Hello, first poster here and i'm not sure if i should put this question here so be benile
I bought a 300gb IDE, only realize that my computer only take SATA hard drive.
Apparently i have a floppy ide slot that i don't use, will it be fine if i connect my hard drive to that ide slot?

Yeah i was thinking getting an ide-sata
But i'm asking can i still use any IDE slot to add in my Hard Drive, or that won't work

You can only use one of the primary master or primary slave IDE channels, like the dude said, no floppy connector. Most boards that have SATA also have IDE, as isnt being phased out quite yet. And if your board only has SATA, if totally should have come with the converter that was previously mentioned.
