budget build

I have just built this system for myself, and I can say that I am really pleased. This is a budget PC made for gaming that can be easily upgraded to crossfire when your budget permits. The generous storage makes adding another HD to run raid very feasable w/o giving up your storage capacity. After shipping to PA this system comes in at ~$530. Of course this dosnt include an OS, KB, mouse, or monitor. But i am asuming you already have them. triple core, 4GB ram,256Bit video cardwith 512 MB ram,500GB storage, and generous case room for expansion. Cant get much better specs for under $500.

Ok, this build has been thrown around a lot in this thread. Couple things.

First off, that RAM is way too expensive, Salty, even after rebate. PI Blacks are less than half that cost. Second, no point in buying an old phenom.

Here's a build for you, sans keyboard/mouse/monitor.

Newegg.com - Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops - $75

That's all $527.85 before rebates, $25 off in rebates.

Also, the same LG drive except with LightScribe:

The E5200 is labeled as 6 bucks more than the one on newegg, but the owner of the website works with customers. If you talk with him, he'll probably work the price lower than newegg, so it's worth a shot. Also, that LG drive has LightScribe for a couple bucks more.
