ok i think my system is bottlenecking my gpu

specs are as follows:
skt 478 celeron D 2.53ghz
1 gig of pc2700 ram
6800 4x/8x agp
msi pm8m-v p4 skt 478 (Via pm800)

would doing this remove the bottleneck?
althon 64 3000+
Patriot 1GB (2 x 512MB) pc3200
ASUS A8V-MX Socket 939 VIA K8M800 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
(allows both agp and pci-x in case i need to upgrade the graphics later) too poor to buy a new gpu right now

it wouldn't truly be "bottlenecking". the video card would no doubt be working to its potential, the lag you see is the system not being able to pickup the slack in processes like calculating physics and other things. but yes upgrading to an athlon 64 would help although i would get a 3200+ at least. also don't get a motherboard with a VIA chipset, look for an nFORCE 4 a.k.a NF4 chipset. by the way pci-e is short for pci-express. i believe pci-x is something completely different.
