Dell Dimension 3000, purchased 11/2004
I started having a problem with everything freezing and thought I may have a virus. Then I wiped the hard drive clean, got rid of windows and downloaded linux antix. After having the computer on on for an hour and half it started freezing again. Being that I still had the original power supply I took it out and installed a new one. The only time it freezes is when I play videos and full screen.
Also sometimes when I start up the bios won't run and all I get is a blank screen.
I ran linux with a knoppix cd to bypass the hard drive and had the same issue so I don't see how the hard drive could be the issue. Seems like it could be an issue with the motherboard or the processor. This computer has an integrated video card.
Any ideas?
