Which is the better bang for buck... 9800 Pro vs 6600 GT?

Is there really that much of a difference between those 2 except for the Shader 3.0 model on the 6600 GT?

If you converted to percents, how much % would a 6600 GT be better than compared to a 9800 Pro? And what about a R360 core 9800 Pro that's overclocked to XT speeds?

Or is the overclocking not worth it because of the risk of instability ?

6600GT hands down the 9800 pro was 3 generations ago about 30-50% 6600GT is way better then the 9800 pro lets jsut leave it at that

EDIT: plus the 6600GT is cheaper then the 9800 pro

Ok well the 6600GT is the equivalent to the x700 Pro, as far as the 9800 pro, take a look at some benchmarks between them.

do you think upgrading from a 9800 pro to a 6600GT to agp is worth it, sense agp cards arent being made anymore do you think i should wait a couple of years with my 9800 pro and then upgrade to pcie everything?

False, they are actually considering making an AGP version of the 7800GTX and 7800GT. And I would wait a couple of years or less then upgrade to PCI-E.

but i would compare a 6600gt up to a 6800 non gt becasue they are neck and neck in performance, accept when anti aliasing comes around for the 6600gt becasue 6800 runs aa good becasue of the 256bit memory interface

The 6600gt wins hands down, the 9800 pro is an extremely watered down version of a 9800xt which even gets whooped by a 6600gt.. Check Tom's Hardware....

BS about the AGP 7800gtx, why would nvidia push an agp version of their card when they are developing on PCI-E motherboards and SLI configurations pretty strongly. I'll have to wait see it to believe it... Nvidia wouldn't give the tech world the satifaction of an agp behemoth of a card. no way! Maybe a budget model like the 7600 or 7600gt to be AGP

*sigh* Why do so many people still consider the 9800 Pro. That would be like considering a GeForce 5900XT.
