Default Best Way

I have two wireless laptops what is the best way to transfer like my music, files, pictures etc to the other laptop? someone told me to use a cross over cable.

Crossover Ethernet cable would be easy. Just set up a network between the two.

networking will work, but I have one of these and it has come in handy more times than I can count...
