Default Best video card with no additional power?

My 8600 GT won't display through the DVI port anymore so I guess it's dead, that being said I'm in the market to buy another video card.
This computer is an Acer and has the standard power supply that came with it (300 watt)
I was looking at getting a 4670 and was wondering if this is the best card I can get that won't require a new PSU

Any suggestions? I'm looking to play Wc3 CoD4 and Starcraft II and Diablo 3

thanks!

Probably the HD 4670 like you said.

There's also a 9600GT (there's a specific version) that requires no power connector also, buts its a bit ore expensive as far as I know.

the 4750 doesn't use a PCI-E power connector.
*edit*
not sure if they are being sold though

Would you suggest waiting a bit for the 4750 or just going with a 4670?

The 4670 requires a 400W PSU. The 4550 requires a 300W, and is a small step above the 8600.

This MSI is decent, and has a better warranty than the Sapphire:
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GV-R455D3-512I Radeon HD 4550 512MB 64-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

The Sapphire is $5 less:
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100252HDMI Radeon HD 4550 512MB 64-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Low Profile Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

well there are even 9800GT's that require no power connector now,

Newegg.com - XFX PVT98GYNF3 GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

i know there is better for the money but it only requires a 400w PSU and no additional power.

Overpriced like you said, but a good deal.

And if you kill the card, your choices are basically unlimited, if by then you have a better PSU.

Would I be able to get away with a moderately good card with this PSU?
Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, SLI-Ready, 135mm Fan, Lifetime Warranty at TigerDirect.com

It's really cheap so I figure it won't get in the way of the new card to much

this corsair would be a better deal, comes out to $30 after rebates. that would handle a 4850. maybe a 4870 too.

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies
