Question Best PCI Video Card Out There (NOT PCI-E)

I'm currently looking for a PCI video card for my brother's Dell wich has no AGP slot. I'm looking for the best thing on the market right now, a good powerful card that can handle most recent games.

I don't know exactly what cards are out there, but I do know that none of the PCI cards will do what you want it to.

Really, well I read quite the opposite. Some people are getting decent performance out of the Radeon 9250 playing Doom3 and Matrix Online. As for handling recent games note that I said "handle", they dont need to run on high settings.

Im not sure if this is the best card out there for the pci bus, thats why I'm looking for informed people that are able to answer this question.

You won't get decent performace out of the 9250 on Doom 3. The best PCI card out there at the moment is the FX5700 LE, which retails on Newegg

I agree with Kilew. How do they define decent? 15FPS on medium?

FX5700 LE? Ok, I'll check it out.

As long as it can run Matrix Online it'll be alright.
