Links of the two I'm deciding.

Newegg.com - MSI NX8600GT Twin Turbo GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Guy at best buy said that MSI can't make a video card to save its life.

then

Newegg.com - EVGA 256-P2-N751-TR GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

I was told EvGa makes the best for gaming.

The better core clock/memory clock the better the card?

Thankyou so much.

Newegg.com - GECUBE HV195PG3-D3(RoHS) Radeon X1950PRO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

This will smoke the 8600GT, only catch is that it's got a mail in rebate

Well in that pricerange you're going to have a tough time getting an Nvidia card that will play games decently. The x1950 pro really is loads better than the 8600GT

The 8600 is trash, sorry to say. Either save some money and get a quality card, or go ATI. If you do not plan on gaming, go to the 7000 series.

Whoa! I gamed quite nicely on a 7800GTX, thank you. :P Then I went to my current card. I'll probably move to a 38xx next.

1. no, all 8600gt 256mb are the same
2. no, there are many other factors

go x1950 pro if you can, it plays games quite nicely
i dont think it will take you long to save up an extra $15
good luck
